Resort Connections - What you need to know
FUEL SURCHARGE FOR SOUTH SEA CRUISES RESORT CONNECTIONS TO BE APPLIED FROM MONDAY 09 MAY 2022 |
2nd of May 2022 Due to a significant increase in fuel prices, South Sea Cruises has made the decision to implement a fuel surcharge to take effect for customers travelling onboard our Resort Connection services only from Monday the 9th of May 2022 until further notice. Customers travelling to the Mamanuca & Yasawa Islands as a resort or hotel house guest will be asked to pay FJ$10.00 per adult & FJ$5.00 per child for each one-way transfer booked with South Sea Cruises. South Sea Cruises are committed to reviewing the fuel surcharge monthly, and we will only continue to implement the fuel surcharge as the price of fuel justifies us in doing so. For those that aren’t aware, the price of fuel in Fiji is set by the Fijian Competition & Consumer Commission on the 1st day of each month and is based on a range of factors including the price of oil globally. Customers can choose to either pay the fuel surcharge via cash, international debit card or credit card at Port Denarau at the time of check-in, noting that international cards do attract a 3% bank fee. Lastly, customers travelling with us on one of our day cruise/trip products are not applicable to the fuel surcharge. |
South Sea Cruises offer seamless, fast transfers to Mamanuca and Yasawa Island resorts for travellers staying in the islands.
We offer pre-booked coach transfers to/from Nadi International Airport* as well as Nadi, Wailoaloa and Denarau hotels to/from Port Denarau where guests board our vessels for the transfer to the islands.
Our modern catamarans have multiple air-conditioned lounges, outside viewing decks and fully licensed bars, meaning you’ll feel on holiday enroute to your island escape! Resort connections depart Port Denarau and return from the Mamanuca Island resorts several times a day, every day, Yasawa resort connections operate 4 times a week. Please see our "Days of Operation" and the Resort Connection Timetables below for full information.
*Airport transfers are an addtional cost (included in your price once booked). Please select Nadi Airport when booking your transfer to ensure the coach transfer is reserved for you.
What you need to know
Our vessels
South Sea Cruises have a fleet of fast, modern vessels, specifically designed for cruising the Fiji Islands. The catamarans each have two air-conditioned lounges, outer viewing decks and fully licensed bars with drinks and snacks available for purchase. A full commentary is provided as you cruise.
Check in time
Since the check in time at most resorts is between midday and 2pm we recommend arriving guests have a leisurely start to their day and catch the mid-afternoon departures from Port Denarau. These departures are generally less crowded and will save you waiting around for your room to become available upon arrival at your island resort.
Check in is required at Port Denarau 30 minutes prior to the vessel departure.
Nadi Airport to Island Resort (or return)
If you are booking a resort connection service to/from an island resort, we can arrange to pick you up (or drop you off) at Nadi Airport to make your travel nice and seamless. We will welcome you with a big 'Bula!' smile and then direct you to your driver who will transfer you to Port Denarau in time to meet our vessel departure (or the reverse for clients wishing to transfer from an Island Resort to Nadi Airport).
Pick up/drop off from your Nadi, Wailoaloa or Denarau Hotel
Transfers from most Nadi, Wailoaloa and Denarau hotels to Port Denarau for our resort connection transfers are available free of charge. You must however advise us where you're staying when you book your resort connection to ensure your pick up is reserved. If you do not do this then getting to the marina in time for our vessel departure is your responsibility. Transfers back to Nadi, Wailoaloa and Denarau hotels & resorts are also available. Coaches will be there to meet each vessel arrival at Port Denarau.
